"I'm Gonna Pop Some Tags..." - Thrifting Has Returned!

I’M BAAAAAAAAAACK! Oh how I’ve missed thrift shopping while I was traveling abroad for 5 months! Phew…I was just DYING to get my hands on a thrift store, and today was my day! Saver’s was having a 50% off sale on all clothing, shoes, accessories (which didn't include jewelry…riddle me that one!), and the Bed & Bath department. I left myself plenty of time when I went shopping, and I took my time scouring every rack, regardless of the marked sizes. My tip for people going thrift shopping for clothing is IGNORE SIZES! Since thrift shops accept a huge variety of donations, there are a ton of different brands and styles on each rack. What could be considered a large in one brand might really be a small in another, and vice versa. It helps to browse everything, find what you like, and then try it on. Size doesn’t matter…fit does! My patience and perseverance paid off today. I found a TON of amazing things!

1.     Talbot’s slacks: $5.00
2.     Tribal print skirt: $3.00

I paid a total of $63.06 for all 25 items! That averages out to $2.52 per item, which you would NEVER find in normal stores! I know that for every one item I said "yes" to, I had to say "no" to about 15 other things. Yes, you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find the prince, but in the end, having the patience to sort through all the...interesting items found in thrift shops can land you some gems! Oh thrifting, how I've missed you!
